How to watch US TV shows from outside the US

kapi:

One of the things that bugs me the most is the Geo-IP filters that websites such as NBC, FOX etc. use to block traffic that comes in from outside the US to watch full streaming episodes. This is what Hulu and the BBC iPlayer use as well, but I don’t think what I’m about to share with you will work for them.

Requirements: Firefox, Modify headers extension.

Once you have installed the extension, click on Tools > Modify headers

Once the options box opens, select “Add” from the drop down box on the left and enter the information in the screenshot below in the first two boxes and click save.

Next, click on the configuration button on the bottom right and ensure that the “Always on” button is checked.

If all went well, your settings should look something like this.

That’s it! Now you should be able to visit all of the major US network sites and be able to stream all the available full episodes without any proxy / VPN connections!

Consider this my good deed of the month / quarter / year.
